What is GIAC?
GIAC stands for the Global Information Assurance Certification,
which is a certification body specialising in technical & practical certification
The GIAC Global Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) is a professional practitioner qualification
that validates the holder’s understanding of governance & technical controls.
The core focus of the GSLC is on the protection, detection & responses to security issues
& the examination confirms that the certification holder has demonstrated knowledge of data,
network, host, application & user controls, along with key management topics that address the overall security lifecycle.
The qualification is therefore ideal for professionals aspiring to leadership roles in the cyber domain.
The certification is also aligned with industry best practices & standards,
such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework V2 2024 (CSF), ISO 27001:2022, and CoBIT.
